Ford, Frank, 71, of Pompano Beach, passed. away after a valiant struggle with cancer on March 4, 2006. He was born August 1, 1934 in Youngstown, OH to the late Samuel & Stephanie Baumert Ford. He served his country honorably as a Staff Sergeant in the U. S. Air Force stationed at Palmona Air Force Base. He lived in Atlantic City, NJ for many years and owned Service Master, which he built to a successful business. In the early 1980's he moved to Pompano Beach and became a Real Estate Agent with Prudential Realty at Bay Colony. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks and he volunteered at Holy Cross Hospital and Imperial Point Hospital. Frank loved the ocean, fishing, golfing and especially his family. He was a widely respected man and his loving and caring spirit will remain, in our hearts forever, Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Frank Ford Jr. of Miami and Stephen Ford of Ocala, FL; his sister, Rosemary Fradley of Sarasota, FL; his loving and devoted, Joan. and her children: Valerie Holston Carroll of Pompano Beach, Wes Holston of Miami, Brad Holston of Palm City; Melanie Holston Reynolds of Plano, TX. Frank was a loving and proud grandfather to 8 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 140 SE 28 Avenue on Wednesday. March 8, 2006 at 11:OO am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Frank's memory to the American Cancer Society or St. Martin's Episcopal Church or Hospice Care of Southeast Florida, Inc. God has chosen to take Frank with him, but those who love him, so very much, will remember him always. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
