MURPHY Francis W. "Frank", 86, of Totowa for 6 years, formerly of Carlstadt for 51 years, passed away July 11, 2009. Mr. Murphy was born in Jersey City. He was a Navy Seabee WWII Veteran and a life member of the Wood-Ridge V.F.W., Post 3616. For over 30 years he was a Dispatcher for Peter A. Frasse in Lyndhurst and retired when he was 62. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Carlstadt Senior Friendship Club. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn J. (nee Budd) Murphy. Loving father of Donald J. Murphy, Lorraine A. Ciongoli, Doreen Zappitelli and Sheila M. Chan. Cherished grandfather of Melissa, Bernie, Sarah, Donald, Drew, Dylan and Leslie June. Dear brother of John "Jack" Murphy, Geraldine Coveney and Lorraine Jankowski. Funeral from the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 9 AM and from St. Joseph's R.C. Church, East Rutherford at 9:30 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation Tuesday 2-4, 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis Church for St. Francis Breadline, 135 W. 31 St., NY, NY 10001
