LAVIGNE Francis P. , 66 years of age of Blairstown, NJ., formerly of Elmwood Park, NJ passed away at his home on Friday December 7, 2012. Born in New York City, NY. to the late Lucien and Josephine Lavigne. Mr. Lavigne had been employed for thirty seven years with the Sheet Metal Workers Union local 25 out of Carlstadt, NJ. retiring eight years ago. He served four years in the US Air Force, was a devout catholic and member of St. Jude Roman Catholic Church of Blairstown. Also a member of SMW #25 Retiree Club and a life member of the VFW Post # 5084 in Elmwood Park. Survived by his wife Linda Lavigne, three sons, Brian of Blairstown, Kevin and his wife Colleen of Pompton Lakes, NJ. and Brennan and his wife Janina of Hope, NJ. Four grandchildren Evelyn, Francis, Lucien and Cian. A brother Phillip Lavigne and his wife Bernice of Teaneck, NJ. and a sister Judith Lavigne of Harrisonburg, VA. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, December 10, in St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, 7 Eisenhower Road, Blairstown. The family will receive friends for a time of remembrance during a memorial visitation Sunday December 9, from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Route 94, Blairstown, NJ.
