Francis L. Murphy59 year Billerica resident; 96; WWII Veteran BILLERICA -- Francis L. Murphy, age 96, husband of the late Marion R. (Henihan) Murphy, died Saturday, at Brightview Assisted Living surrounded by his family.He was born in Cambridge on July 2, 1914, son of the late Patrick and Elizabeth (Hayes) Murphy, and lived in Boston before moving to Billerica 59 years ago.Mr. Murphy served in the US Army during WWII, and was employed by the MBTA for many years.He is survived by his son, Peter Murphy and his wife, Marie of Billerica; his daughters, Marion Quinn and her husband, William of Northborough, and Kathleen Murphy of Plymouth; his grandchildren Julie, Sandra, and Daniel Quinn and his wife, Jacquelyn, and Andrea, and Michael Murphy and his wife, Sheri; two great-grandchildren, Jayce Murphy and Kelsey Quinn. Also survived by his nieces; and his dear friend, Lenny McRae.He was also the father of the late Francis L. Murphy Jr., and grandfather of the late Adam Yarbrough.MURPHY -- Of Billerica, formerly of Boston, April 23, Francis L. Murphy.
