FRANCES PATRICIA MILLER (NEE MOKRZYCKI-MACHESKA) 1914 - 2011 Passed away November 18, 2011 at Ballycliffe Lodge & Nursing Home Ajax, at age 97. Predeceased by her loving husband John (1988) and son John (1984). Frances was blessed with three children: John (Elsa), Patricia Rudik (Victor) and Angelyn Esders (Charles). Frances was proud of her six grandchildren Gregory, Michelle, Patte, Victor, Emmeline, Michael and four great-grandchildren Sophie, Luke, Kathleen and Heidi. She was born on Nelson Street Toronto to Anthony and Katherine Mokrzycki into a family of 12 or more children. Nine lived past infancy: Antonia, Joe, Peter, Frances, Elsie, Tom, Mary, Geraldine and Lily. Frances outlived all of them. The family moved to Dovercourt Rd. after Elsie's tragic murder in 1927. Frances was a kind and loving mother who helped her family and others in every way possible. She was famous for her sewing and crocheting. She babysat, helped financially and cared for us through illnesses. She enjoyed celebrating every holiday. Her closely knit family always came together for Christmas, birthdays, Easter, etc. She was a wonderful cook and loved hosting parties. She loved ocean cruises and always bought 4 tickets so she would have family members near her. She would crochet little angels to give to other passengers. She and her husband owned Toronto Armature Co on King St., where she did the bookkeeping and dealt with customers and still cared for her home, children and garden on Lake Promenade for 61 years. She attended Christ the King RC Church, Catholic Women's League, Salvation Army, Baptist Church, Store Front Humber. Whenever anyone invited her to attend a good Christian meeting, Frances would attend, but she always remained a strong Catholic. She spent her remaining years at Parkway Retirement Home then Ballycliffe Nursing Home. Thank you to everyone who loved her and cared for her. Visitation at Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd West, Toronto (416-259-3705), Monday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3674 Lake Shore Blvd West, on Tuesday at 12 noon followed by interment at Parklawn Cemetery, 2845 Bloor St. West.
