MOORE , Frances Sofie (Nee Berg) November 26, 1924 - February 9, 2010 It is with sadness, and yet a sense of peace, that her family announce the passing of Frances (Frankie) Moore of Edmonton on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at the age of 85. Frances was loved and will be deeply missed by her family: Ken (Verla) Carter and their family Roger, Sarah (Dwayne) Huisman and Brian of St. Albert; Bill (Denise) Moore and their family Kathryn, Lindsay and Robert of Calgary; Sheila (Terry) Gaw and their children, Liam and Kira of Calgary; sister Evelyn (Arthur) Russell of Red Deer; brother Edward (Bonnie) Berg and their children Andrea (Roger) Brodeur and their family Ty and Isabelle; Stewart (Anita) all of Edmonton; sister-in-law Gail Berg of Courtney, B.C., as well as many other family in Canada and the U.S.A. Her father and mother, Edward and Nellie Berg of Red Deer, her dear brother Donald Berg as well as her husbands Charles Moore and Merle Carter predeceased Frances. Frances was born in Coronation, AB and with her parents and siblings, moved many, many times in Alberta making a host of friends along the way. Frances loved handiwork of all kinds, enjoyed reading and was an accomplished seamstress. Her family and friends will lovingly remember the cards, cross-stitch pictures, and clothes she made. We admired her strength, determination, independence and generosity. Frances held many different jobs, but none she enjoyed more than caring for young children. Above all, she cherished her family. Frances loved to laugh and was always ready with a helping hand with a bit of advice thrown in for good measure. The family wishes to thank Dr. Peter Bell for his caring support to Frances and to her family. Thank you to the palliative home caregivers, and to the doctors and nurses at the Edmonton Misericordia Hospital for their compassionate care.
