Keever, Jr. Solace Center.A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Ms. Miller was a member of the Salvation Army, where she served in the Ladies Home League. She also retired from the Salvation Army as a clerk. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Eric and Lillie Ramsey Smith, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Katie Sams.Surviving are her children: Roger Dean Miller and wife P.J. of Leicester, Karen Miller of Candler, Terry Lee Miller and wife Mali of Weaverville, and Monte Dale Miller and wife Suzzette of Arden; three grandchildren: Crystal Silvers, Katherine "Kittie" Miller, and Tinika Miller; four great-grandchildren; sister, Daisy Jo Keith and husband Charles of Asheville; brothers: Fred Smith and wife Mary Jo and Jimmy Smith, all of Asheville; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the chapel of The Salvation Army, with Captain David Sams officiating. Burial will follow in Dix Creek Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.To sign Ms. Miller's guestbook online, go to "Memorials" at www.andersrice.com.
