Munford - Funeral services for Frances Louise Jacks Smith, 93, of Munford, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011, at the Munford Baptist Church with Rev.'s Mike Foreman, Franky Swiney and Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Munford Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, August 12, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory. Mrs. Smith will lie in state one hour prior to services. Mrs. Smith died Wednesday. She is survived by her daughter, Edna Smith Carden; sons, Tom Smith, Floyd A. Smith Jr., and Stephen L. Smith; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was a lifelong resident of Talladega County, a graduate of Munford High School, and a member of Munford Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, quilting and traveling and was retired from Palm Beach Manufacturing. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; mother and father, Dan and Bobbie Jacks; four brothers, and one grandson.
