Mrs. Frances Levon BrooksHONEA PATH, S.C.Mrs. Frances Levon Brooks Gambrell, 83, of 111 Linda Lane, widow of John Wesley Gambrell, Sr., died Tuesday, August 05, 2014 at Ellenburg Nursing Home.Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Franklin and Nettie Bagwell Brooks. She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church and a homemaker.Surviving are: one son, John Wesley Gambrell, Jr. of Anderson; three daughters, Cheryl Dooley (Charles), Karen Ashley (Joe) and Denise Leigaber (Daniel) all of Honea Path; one brother, David Brooks; four sisters, Audrey Caldwell, Elizabeth Smith, Virginia Beck and Shirley Holland; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.She was predeceased by one brother, Curtis Brooks and one sister, Doris Welburn.Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Columbia Baptist Church with Rev. Scotty Hendricks and Rev. Carroll Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.The family is at their respective homes.
