MORRIS, Frances Jones 83, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday, April 19, 2008 in Rock Hill, SC. A celebration memorial service of Frances' life will be held at 12 pm Saturday, May 3, 2008, at First Baptist Institutional Church, 3144 3rd Ave. S, St. Petersburg, FL with Rev. Chico Dials officiating. Born in Charleston, SC on Feb. 10, 1925 to the late Ormsby Francis Jones and Eliza Rachel Washington. Frances was preceded in death also by her husband, Louis Christopher Morris Sr. and 3 children, Marvena Melody Morris, Onsbey Ezel Morris, and Louis Christopher Morris, Jr. In November 1976 she moved to Florida and was a member of The Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Jerry Osborn and later as a member of New Life Fellowship Church with Rev. Chico Dials. Frances was a 1943 graduate of Burke High School, Charleston, SC. Upon her passing, she leaves to cherish her memories 4 sons, La Mar Milton Morris (Annette), Warren Kenneth Morris (Fannie), Marcellus Prime Morris, I (Ola), and Anthony O'Neil Morris, all of St. Petersburg; 4 daughters, Lois Frances Morris Godfrey, Barbara Ann Morris Ramsey, Carla Angelina Morris, of Charleston, SC, and LaSaine Morris Yates (Alvis) of Rock Hill, SC; 5 brothers; 5 sisters; 1 sister-in-law, Francine Morris Middleton, of St. Petersburg; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.
