December 18, 2006 Frances J. Murphy, 83, of Camillus, died Monday at St. Camillus Health & Rehabilitation Center. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she graduated from Vocational High School. Frances was employed by G.C. Murphy's in Camillus for more than 10 years and was formerly employed by GE. Frances loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them and taking care of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed genealogy. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. (1984) and sons, Robert James, Jr. (1974), Lawrence Patrick (1989) and Dennis Francis (1988). Surviving are her sons, Thomas J. (Terry) of Skaneateles and Timothy G. (Tammy) of Syracuse; brother, Louis "Fred" Tork of Camden; sisters, Rose (Fred) Osborn of Myrtle Beach, SC and Margaret St. John of Tyler, TX; grandchildren, Melissa, Lisa, Jamie, Jason, Michael, Nicole and Kendra; stepgrandchildren, Kevin and Cassandra; and several great-grandchildren. Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
