MERRIMACK -- Frances Jean (Gagnon) Hall, 78, died April 25, 2008, at home. She was born in Concord on Aug. 8, 1929, to Arthur and Inez (Drouin) Gagnon. She had been a resident of Merrimack since 1970. She grew up in Concord and Canterbury, where she attended elementary schools, and graduated from St. John's High School in Concord. Mrs. Hall was employed by New England Telephone and Telegraph Company in Concord and Durham for eight years. She was a volunteer at the Marin County General Hospital, San Rafael, Calif., where she was also the hospital's receptionist. She was also a volunteer at the Elliot Hospital, Manchester. Mrs. Hall was the receptionist for the McLane Law Firm, Manchester, from 1971 to 1989. During her tenure with the McLane firm, she was known as "The Voice of McLane." IN HER LIFE: She is survived by her husband Ross E. Hall whom she married June 9, 1951; and is survived by sons, Dr. Michael E. Hall, Denver, Colo. and Richard S. Hall, Mendham, N.J.; grandsons, William E. Hall, Waltham, Mass. and Michael R. Hall, Boston, Mass.; granddaughter, Allison E. Hall, Denver, Colo., sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. SERVICES: There will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League of NH, 545 Route 101, Bedford 03110-4711 or to Home, Health and Hospice Care, 80 Continental Blvd., Merrimack 03054.
