BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. Frances Hale Patterson of Boynton Beach, Fla. died Saturday July 1, 2006 at Hospice of Palm Beach County. Graveside services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park. Officiating will be her son, Rev. Randolph Patterson.She was predeceased by her parents, Henry Harrison Hale and Cornelia Foster Hale, and her husband, Forrest F. (Pat) Patterson.Frances (Fritz) was born in Tuscaloosa and attended schools there. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a BA in Interior Design. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She and Pat moved to Miami in 1952 and she moved up to Boynton Beach in 2002. She was a loving and beloved adventurous mother and grandmother and a great friend to all.She grew up in the First Presbyterian Church of Tuscaloosa where she and Pat were active in the church and Westminster Fellowship at the University. She was later active in Granada Presbyterian and Seacrest Presbyterian. Her service in the church included teaching Sunday school, Sunday school superintendent, vacation Bible school leader, librarian, handbell choir, president of Women In the Church, Missions Committee, Bible study leader and volunteer at Seacrest Christian School.She loved tennis and gardening, serving on the Guild at Miami Museum of Science and volunteered at Fairchild Tropical Gardens for many years.Frances is survived by her daughter, Connie Martin and husband Don, Seffner, FL; her son, Rev. Randolph Patterson and wife, Maggie of Boynton Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren: Jennifer Frank (Sam), Christine Robertson (Michael), Daniel Patterson, Amber Metzler (Tom), Michael Martin and Karen Martin and two great -grandchildren, Stephanie and Sam Frank. She is also survived by her brother, Dayton F. Hale of Tuscaloosa and her twin sister, Cornelia Bryans (Bob) of Philadelphia, Pa.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Seacrest Presbyterian Church Missions, 2703 North Seacrest Blvd., Delray Beach, FL 33444.
