HARDING Frances Loretta. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fran Harding after a brief illness. Born January 3, 1919 passed away April 21, 2003. Predeceased by her loving husband, William Rees Harding in 1991. She is survived by her children, Bill (Bev), Frank (Janet) and Patricia (Ron); six grandchildren, Kent, Lorrinda, Rebecca, Kelly, Christine and Keri; six great grandchildren, Judd, Chelsea, Kalvin, Julia, Samantha and Cassidy. Also survived by her sisters, Kay Husselstrom, Rose Mellor and Irene Charest; brother, Bernie MacIsaac. Born in Port Hawksbury, N.S. Fran met her husband Bill in Halifax where they were married. They moved to Victoria with their two sons after the Second War had their daughter and raised all three children in Victoria. Over the years they ran various boarding homes and made many life long friends. Fran loved to do crafts, go to garage sales and was a regular attendant at the Western Speedway Swap and Shop. She loved her friends and family, was always ready with a helping hand, had a great sense of humor and loved a good slot machine. She will be sorely missed by many. A graveside service will be held at Hatley Memorial Gardens, Colwood, B.C. Saturday April 26, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of her life at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Hall, 891 Esquimalt Rd. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Fran's memory to the charity of your choice.
