FRANKLIN - Frances E. (Lewis) Jordan, 86, of 22 Morrill Court, died peacefully Thursday, March 24, 2011, at home.She was born in Somerville, Mass., on Oct. 24, 1924, the daughter of Arthur Lewis and Olive (Veara) Lewis. She grew up in Somerville and moved to Franklin in 1942.Before her retirement, Mrs. Jordan was employed at the former Oak Laminates in Franklin.She enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her faithful dog, Midnight.Mrs. Jordan was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Walter F. Jordan, on Nov. 5, 2006.She is survived by her longtime caregivers and close friends, Cheryl and Warren Drake of Franklin; a son, Ernest E. Fredette and his wife, Tanya, of Franklin; two daughters, Ann Marie O'Leary of Lochmere and Dorothy Chouidard of Franklin; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two sisters, Florence Richter of Texas and Mary Buzzell of Arizona; and many friends.There will be no calling hours. Graveside services and burial will be held later in the spring at Franklin Cemetery, Thompson Park, Franklin, with Mr. Keith Malcolm officiating.Memorial donations may be made to Franklin Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 265, Franklin 03235.Carlton C. Ham of H.L. Young & Co. Memorial Home, 175 S. Main St., Franklin, is assisting with arrangements.
