Arnoldsville - Frances Daniel Brooks, 75, passed away October 3, 2008, after a long illness of cancer.Frances retired from the Athens Clarke County Utility Department and was a very faithful member of Corinth Baptist Church. She was very active in the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and also taught Sunday School for many years. She will be remembered for always helping others. She was loved by so many people, friends and family, and enjoyed traveling with different groups.She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Brooks Jr.; parents, W. H. and Ollie Daniel; brother, David Daniel.Funeral services will be Monday, October 6, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Richard McFall officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.Survivors include brother, Ed (Blanche) Daniel; sister, Louise (Warren) Haralson; several nieces and nephews; aunt, Nellie Adams; and quite a few cousins. Though Frances never had any children, she was Grandmom to many including, Remington and Van Bowling, who she took on many trips over the years, Cassie and Toney Shaffer, Apryl York, Jessica Daniel, Chace, Blane and Macee Ross, Bryce and Camryn Wrenn, and Mackenzie Bowling (her little sweetheart).Pallbearers are George Payne, Shane Halloran, Rodney Harris, Steve Gomes, Craig Daniel and Roy Dalton.Honorary pallbearers are members of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sign Fund at Corinth Baptist Church, 2040 Belmont Road, Arnoldsville, GA 30619.The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and otherwise will meet at the home of Barbara Kilgore in Arnoldsville.A very special thank you to JoAnne and Chris Wrenn for taking good care of their Aunt Frances, Drs.
