Frances A. Morris passed on Monday, December 15, 2014, at the age of 92. She was born in Lewisburg, Ohio on March 11, 1922, a daughter of the late John Steiner and Edna Collins. She is survived by a sister, Deloris Corbin (8 children) of Ohio. Daughters Kela A. Miller and Loa Burch; 6 grand-children and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ashby Morris; son, Kelly C. Morris; brother, Than Steiner; sisters, Loretta Roe (5 children) and Martina Hilyard (9 children). Frances was taught to fear God, to respect others and to love her family. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where she was a faithful and respected member for many years. She also volunteered for the Women's Auxiliary at the Bayshore Fire Department when it was just getting off the ground in the early 1960's. Fran will always be remembered for her easy going spirit, selflessness, and ringing laughter even when faced with difficulty. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Manasota Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 10am on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Manasota Funeral Home by Rev. Mark Heuberger. Interment will follow in Manasota Memorial Park. Manasota Funeral Home is assisting the family.
