WILLIAMS _ Florence "Rita" (Wilson) 1923 - 2008 Rita Williams was born on June 11, 1923 and passed away on September 17, 2008. Rita married Laurence Williams in Calgary in 1945. They lived in the Donalda District where they farmed until 1988 when Laurence retired. They moved to Calgary for a short period of time then moved back to Bashaw until Laurence's passing in 1996. Rita moved to Calgary in 1999 where she resided until her passing. Rita is survived by her sons: Andy (Iris), David (Linda), Steven (Sue) and Robert (Ken); thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister Jean Prunkle and brother Don Wilson (Joan); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Andy and Edith Wilson, her husband Laurence (1996) and her brother Jack (1945). A Funeral Service will be held at the Bashaw United Church on Monday, September 22, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place in the Donalda Cemetery. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Alberta Lung Association, the Canadian Diabetes Association, or to the Arthritis Society. Arrangements entrusted to BASHAW FUNERAL HOME.
