Florence Ruth Tscherne (nee Morrison), 59, of Barnegat, N.J., died on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at her home. A viewing will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, from 1 to 3 p.m., and again from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, 335 South Main St., Barnegat, N.J. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 747 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, on Monday at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow and will be private. Born in Newark, N.J., and formerly of Maplewood, N.J., Ruth had lived in Barnegat since 1986. She was previously employed at Bank of America in Manahawkin, N.J., as an operations specialist. Her greatest joys were her family and grandchildren. Ruth was predeceased by her father, Thomas Morrison; and brothers, Michael and Richard. Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Roger; and her mother, Florence, of Barnegat; children, Derek and his partner, Kristopher, of Beachwood, N.J.; Keith and his wife, Kaly, of Tuckerton, N.J., and Amanda Zalewski and her husband, Dominic, of Barnegat; her grandchildren, Camryn, Carissa, Ashley, Weston, Tristen and Carol; also surviving are her siblings, Thomas Morrison and his wife, Barbara, of Skowhegan, Maine, Linda Rockowitz and her husband, Ned, of Melbourne, Fla., and Carol McKenna and her husband, Jack, of Verona, N.J. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Children's Hospital, 34th and Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, Pa. 19104, in Ruth's memory.
