Florence Irene Thompson, 87, Sarasota, died June 21, 2003. She was born July 26, 1915, in Hanna City, Ill., and came to Sarasota in 1973 from there. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge 1223 and Bradenton Elks 1511. She was a Protestant. Survivors include a daughter, Elaine K. Kidd of Sarasota; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 12:45 p.m. Thursday at Bay Pines National Cemetery. Burial will follow.
