Horn, Florence H. COLONIE, N.Y. Florence H. Horn, 87, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2008 under the care of Hospice at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Norton and Harriet Haagner. Florence was a resident of Colonie for 45 years. Florence worked for the former New York Telephone Co. and more recently, for New York State Taxation and Finance from where she retired. She was the beloved wife of 56 years to the late J. Edward Horn. Florence is the devoted mother of Edward Leonard (Joanne) Horn of Clifton Park, Robert Norton (Linda) Horn of Clifton Park and Virginia Louise (Gary) Gabrielle of Oswego. She is the loving sister of Elizabeth Pagano, Esther Thorsland and Harriet Nolan. Florence is the cherished grandmother of Edward Leonard (Crystal) Horn, Jr., Timothy, Lisa and Robert Norton (Victoria) Horn, Jr., Charles Horn and Curtis and Holly Benedetto. She is the great-grandmother of Maria. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 or the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Florence H.
