Florence Eulala Adams, known by those who loved her as "Lala," passed away at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center at the age of 79. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Grant Lyman Adams; her five children and spouses, Laurie Anne and Jeffrey Nelson, Grant Lyman Jr. and Susan Adams, John Michael Adams, David Endsley and Mirja Adams, and Michelle Annette Adams; her 13 grandchildren, James Adams Wilson, Donna Jean Adams, Wesley Lyman Adams, Laura Brittany and Brett Petty, Danyelle Allyne and Caleb Heder, Stacy Lynn Nelson, Meagan Hannah Hawley, Deanna Marie Adams, Bryson Garrett Adams, Terry LaGrand Adams, Sara Kesley Nelson, William Vaughn Adams and Hilja Anneli Adams; her two brothers, Herman Endsley Jr. and Doris Weston, and Paul Holliday and Sherry Weston; and countless other loved ones. She was a faithful and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Lala was loved by all who knew her. She was also a faithful and stalwart member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as Relief Society President three times and Mission Primary President. For most of the years that the Fort Walton Beach Stake has been organized she was the Director of the Family History Center. Lala and Grant met in 1954 and began their lifelong love affair with each other. They lived in Valparaiso, Niceville and the community of Wright just outside of Fort Walton Beach. Lala was a very kind person; she went out of her way to help those with problems and special needs. If someone ever offended her, she would always do something nice to them in return. She was a true example of Christian charity and love. We LOVE you, Lala - Mom: God be with you till we meet again. For all of Lala's many, many friends a viewing will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Fort Walton Beach Stake Center, 339 Lake Drive, Fort Walton Beach, Fla., on Friday, Aug. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Fort Walton Beach Stake Center, on Saturday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Heritage Gardens in Niceville. Following interment services, Lala wanted all her friends and family to visit at her home in Fort Walton Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis, Suite F, No. 227, 1659 Branham Lane, San Jose, CA 95118-5226, www.coalitionforpf.org. Arrangements are being handled by Emerald Coast Funeral Home.
