Florence E. Horton (nee Scharbach) Hammond/Hobart Florence E. Horton (nee Scharbach), age 85, of Hammond, formerly of Hobart, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2003. Florence was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hobart. She was preceded in death by her husband James C. Horton and two sons, Roger and Scott Horton. She is survived by three children: Denis Horton of Hammond, Grant (Kathy) Horton of Hammond and Adair Horton of Chesterton. Granddaughter Shelly (Jeff) Tuma and Great-Granddaughter, Samantha Tuma both of New Pragee, MN; daughter-in-law Pearl Horton of Savage, MN. Many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at Burns Funeral Home (Hobart), corner of Rt. 51 and 7th Street, Rev. Gary S. Nagy officiating. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Hobart. Friends may meet with the family at the Burns Funeral Home (Hobart) on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M.
