Florence B. Carter, 78, of 12331 Greenville Highway, widow of Walter Carter, died Aug. 2, 2002, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Retired: Spartan Undies. Member: Wellford Baptist Church. Survivors: Son, Rudy Godfrey, of Green Creek, N.C.; daughters, Reba G. Gardner of Woodruff, and Brenda Martin of Lexington; a sister, Joann Marbert, of Athens, Ga.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 7 to 9 tonight at The Wood Mortuary.
