->JEFFERSON -- Flora Gertrude Jones, 84, passed away Monday, May 7, 2007, at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport.Flora was born Nov. 22, 1922, in Jefferson, a daughter of the late Walter and Pansy McCurda Trask.She was a homemaker, raising her three children and working on the family farm with her husband.She had a "green thumb" and enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens as well as growing many beautiful plants in her home. She enjoyed braiding rugs and reading. She especially loved cats, her favorite named Peter, and other farm animals.She attended the South Somerville Baptist Church and was a member of the South Jefferson Baptist Church.She was predeceased by her husband, Hartwell A. Jones.Survivors include her daughters, Alice M. Bowman of Washington, and Marion E. Robinson of Gardiner; son Ernest Hartwell Jones of Somerville; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and sisters Cora Fisher of Hallowell and Jeannette Vincent of Augusta.Visiting hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at Hall Funeral Home, 949 Main St., Waldoboro. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 11, at Fairview Cemetery, Route 126, Jefferson, with the Rev. John Dancer officiating.
