-->Faye B. Johnson SALUDA, NC-- Faye Jewell Brown Johnson, 82, formerly of Wellford, SC, died Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Autumn Care of Saluda, NC. Born November 9, 1925, in Whitney, SC, she was the daughter of the late T. O. and Eunice Bell Brown and the wife of the late James Preston "J. P." Johnson. A graduate of the Mary Black School of Nursing, she was a retired Registered Nurse with Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood and Palmetto Richland Hospital in Columbia. She was a member of the Nurses Association and Jackson Mill Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Anna J. Feagin and her husband Gene of York, and Patricia J. Collins and her husband Mel of Saluda, NC; a son, James Preston Johnson, Jr. and his wife Anne of Urbana, OH; a sister, Frances Ballenger of Inman; a granddaughter, Melissa Feagin Richard of Chesapeake, VA; five grandsons, Jamie Feagin and Christopher Collins, both of Columbia, Travis Feagin of York, Andy Collins of Savannah, GA, and Jeffrey Johnson of Urbana, OH; a great-granddaughter, Callie Richard; and two great-grandsons, Grayson Player and John Richard. She was predeceased by two sisters, Azalee Murphy and Mary Burdette; and two brothers, Woodrow Brown and Curtis Brown. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Gene Feagin.
