Obituary of Fannie Wilson


Fannie Wilson, 83, Sarasota, died Oct. 21, 2003. She was born June 15, 1920, in Marianna and came to Sarasota from there in 1930. She was a homemaker and a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist church. Survivors include her husband, Charles; daughters Helen Marshall of Tampa, and Cleoma Hunter, Yvonne Mills, Angela Jones, and Cynthia Wilson, all of Sarasota; a son, Larry of Sarasota; sisters Clareatha Major of Sarasota, Vinnie Williams of Tampa, Mary Goffigan of New York, and Ruth Lester of Detroit; brothers J.B. Lee of Sarasota and Thomas M. Lee of Southfield, Mich.; 29 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at Chandler's Funeral Chapel. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Galilee Cemetery.
