Former postal employee AIKEN, S.C. - Mrs. Fannie Mae Simmons Mitchell, 70, of Souther Carolina Avenue entered into rest February 12, 2003. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Luke Mitchell Sr.; four sons, Pastor Luke Mitchell Jr., Washington, D.C., Curtis (Lois) Mitchell, Laurel, Md., Melvin Mitchell, Washington, D.C. and George Mitchell, Washington, D.C.; one sister, Cora (Rev. George) Counts, Aiken; one brother, Eugene Ware, Columbia; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one devoted goddaughter, Martha Williams, Augusta; two foster sons, Wayne Carroll and Gary Carroll both of Washington, D.C.; and a host of other relatives.
