Family-Placed Obituary VERA CARTER of West Palm Beach passed away peacefully on November 28, 2007 at the age of 87. Vera was born on February 23, 1920 in Abbeville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gentle (Redcap) Carter Sr., and two sons, Gentle (Motorcycle) Carter Jr. and Willie James Carter. She is survived by her loving children, Jessie Reddick, Virginia Studstill and her husband Oscar, Johnny Carter of Colorado Springs, CO, Reverend James Carter and his wife Mary, Alma Beatrice Cornish and her husband Dolph, Harriet “Denise” Clark and her husband Ronnie, Mark Carter, and Robert Carter and his wife Vicky, her two sisters, Vernell Smith and Francis Hamilton of Jacksonville, FL, 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, two great-great-granddaughters, a host of nieces, nephews, and sorrowing friends. Friends and relatives are cordially invited to visit on Friday, December 7, 2007 from 4 - 7 pm at Coleman Funeral Home, 1215 N. Tamarind Ave., West Palm Beach with funeral services being held Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 11 am at Greater Antioch Baptist Church, 1915 Spruce Ave., West Palm Beach.
