Family-Placed Funeral Notice PATRICIA A. MULVEY (nee Ryan) Wife of Former Part Owner of the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers Patricia (Pat) A. Mulvey of Juno Beach, Florida passed away Saturday evening, February 26, 2005. Mrs. Mulvey was born in Brooklyn, New York to Thomas and Loretta Ryan on August 6, 1928. She was 76 years old. Her father (Tom) was the Democratic leader in Brooklyn at that time. He also was the Campaign Manager for Alfred E. Smith during the laters unsuccessful run for President. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in Brooklyn, New York. She was a Knight of the Holy Sepulchre. Pat had many loves of her life aside from her never ending love for her six children, none were greater than her love for the Dodgers and the ocean. Her time growing up in Brooklyn with the likes of Buddy Mulvey (her future husband), Joe Paterno, George Tilyou and other neighbors were cherished moments of her life. Pat, along with her predeceased husband (Bud) of 49 years, moved from Rye, New York to Juno Beach, Florida in 1975. She leaves a loving family of six children: Keelyn (Mulvey) Gunther of Rye, New York, Stephen and Kathy Mulvey of Rye, New York and Vero Beach, Florida, Maripat Mulvey of North Palm Beach, Florida, James and Kathy Mulvey of Danbury, Connecticut, Kevin Mulvey of Scarsdale, New York and Patrick and Alice Mulvey of Danbury, Connecticut; along with ten grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 13591 Prosperity Farms Road, Palm Beach Gardens on Thursday, March 3 at 10 AM. Another Memorial Mass will be celebrated at The Church of The Resurrection, 946 Boston Post Road, Rye, New York on Monday, March 7 at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, New York. Those planning an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, are asked to consider contributions in memory of Pat Mulvey to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
