Family-Placed Funeral Notice MONICA HESS FEIN Passed away June 11, 2004 in West Palm Beach, Fl. Born January 6, 1932 in Carlsbad, Czechoslovakia, she immigrated to the United States with her family at age six. She worked as a social worker after graduating from Cornell University. Monica and husband Fred, settled in New City, NY where they lived for almost 30 years. After raising three children, she earned a Master's Degree in Counseling and returned to work as a guidance counselor in the special education department for the Clarkstown Central School District. She retired to Florida in 1997. Following her recovery from a life-threatening stroke in 2000, she volunteered with the Stroke of Hope Club of North Palm Beach, Fl. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Fred Fein of West Palm Beach, FL, son, Larry Fein and wife Ronda of Saratoga Springs, NY, son Jason Fein and wife Jennifer Altman of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, and daughter Pamela Zaieden-Weber and husband Bill of Morganville, NJ. Six granchildren also survive her.
