U.S. ArmyLAKELAND -- Mr. Francis P. Murphy of Lakeland died of heart failure Monday (Oct. 10, 2005) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was 66.Born in Lorain, Ohio, on March 30, 1939, he came to Lakeland from Lawton, Okla., six years ago. He was a retired major in the Army and received the Bronze Star. He was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Lakeland.Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Murphy; son, Tom Murphy, Green Cove Springs; brother, Michael Murphy, Lorain; sisters, Margaret Houston, and Marilyn Murphy Butcko, both of Lorain; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
