Obituary of Frances-L. Smith


Frances L. Smithwas born in Orange City, Florida to the late Gus Johnson and Lula Robinson. She enjoyed life to the fullest including traveling, bowling and fishing. Frances took her final earthly journey on Thursday, the 12th Day of November, 2009, from Hospice Care Center West Volusia, in Orange City, FL., to her heavenly home to reunite with her parents. She leaves to mourn her, three sons, Douglas (Gloria) Smith, DeLand, FL., Linzy, and Clayton (Sharon) Smith, Orange City, FL; three daughters, Gloria Adams, Orange City, FL, May (Bertram) Martin, DeLand, FL., and Robin (Mike) Alamo, Lake Helen, FL.; brother, Rufus (Katie) Barkley, DeLand, FL.; sisters, Mary Williams and Audrey Jackson, St. Pete, FL.; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grands and two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and sorrowing friends. The Home Going Service will be 11 am Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Unity of God's Manna Worship Center at Unity Funeral Home 105 W. New Hampshire Ave., DeLand, FL. Burial will follow at Lincoln Cemetery Orange City. Rev. Willie Mae Simmons-Joma will deliver the main eulogy. Visitation hours are Friday (today) from 4-7pm at Unity (386) 740-1891. "In God We Trust."
