WALL, Florence B. ""Lynne"", 80,passed away Monday, July5, 2010 after a long illness. AMemorial Service to celebrate her life will be held July23, 2010 at 11:00am at theFirst Presbyterian Church inWetumpka, Alabama withPastor Jonathan Yarboro officiating. Visitation will be from10:00am to 11:00am. Mrs.Wall spent her formativeyears in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and attended the publicschools there. After graduating from high school, she became the first woman ever tobe awarded an athleticscholarship to the Universityof Miami as a member of theSwimming and Diving Team.She also was a member ofthe cheerleading squad.After attending college,Lynne worked with Delta Airlines as a flight attendant.After raising her two daughters, she and Don moved toNew Orleans, LA. She became the Director of Tourand Travel at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in New Orleans.In 1991 after retiring from theRoyal Sonesta, she and Donmoved back to Montgomery,AL to be near family and oldfriends. Mrs. Wall was preceded in death by her fatherand mother, Sylvester Bubierand Ruth Harvey Bubier; onebrother, Robert H. Bubier; onesister, Paula B. Jackson andone brother-in-law, John N.""Jack"" Wall, Jr. and onegrandson, John M. Thomas,Jr. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Donald W.Wall; daughters, Lyndon W.(John) Thomas, Montgomery,AL and Marti A. (Larry) Ray,Largo, FL; grandchildren, D.Matthew Thomas, Yuma, AZ,Erin W. (Lee) Stauss, Norman,OK; Brian Y. (Ashley) Thomas,Montgomery, AL and Mrs.Adrienne R. and Dr. VietNguyen, Dayton, OH andgreat grandchildren, Madison Thomas, Hannah, Willand Emma Thomas, Montgomery, AL. A special thanksto Hospice of Montgomery,Alice Vaughan, AngelaWelch, Miranda, Needra, andmany aids. Many thanks tocaregiver, Brenda Taylor.
