MONCTON-À sa résidence, le jeudi 29 mai 2003, à l’âge de 88 ans, est décédée Exelda Cormier, domiciliée à Moncton, rue Churchill. Née à Moncton le 14 octobre 1914, elle était fille de feu Simon Cormier et de feu Évangeline LeBlanc. Elle laisse dans le deuil plusieurs nièces et neveux. La dépouille mortelle a été exposée au Salon funéraire Frenette, 88, rue Church à Moncton (858-1900, www.salonfrenette.com). Les funérailles ont eu lieu en l’église Notre-Dame-de-Grâce à Moncton, le samedi 31 mai, à 10h. L’inhumation a eu lieu au cimetière Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire à Dieppe. --- Exelda Cormier It is with great sadness that the Cormier family announce the peaceful passing of Miss Exleda Marie Jeanne Cormier, 88, on Thursday morning, May 29, 2003 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Moncton, October 14, 1914, Exelda was the daughter of the late Simon Cormier, and Évangeline LeBlanc. She was the first child baptized at N.D.-de-Gr¥ce Church (Parkton), a founding member of Maison Nazareth on Churchill Street with Sister Rita. Exelda was employed at Collège de l'Assomption in Québec for 30 years, and was the last survivor of her imêmediate family. Tante Exelda will be greatly missed by her nieces, and nephews, especially Ray and Marguerite Cormier, grandniece, Rachelle with whom she resided, also Jeannine Geddes who helped by sitting with her many times. Remains resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (8581900). Visiting hours Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of departure (9:45). The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday May 31, 2003 at N.-D-de-Gr¥ce Roman Catholic. Church (Parkton).
