Everett Dean Alexander, 88, Port Charlotte, died Nov. 1, 2002, at Tandem Health Care. He was born July 15, 1914, in Medina, W.Va., and came to Port Charlotte 24 years ago from Tallmadge, Ohio. He was a U.S. Postal Service supervisor and a member of First Alliance Church of Port Charlotte. Survivors include his wife, Louise M.; a son, Roger of Phoenix; stepsons Robert Sampson of Salem, Ohio, Keith Sampson of Port Charlotte, and Larry Sampson of Mantua, Ohio; daughters Sharon Lewis of Tallmadge and Lynne Penix of Kent, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Paul Schelm Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Alliance Church of Port Charlotte.
