Evelyn Ruth Pierce, known as Ruth to all of her family and friends, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away suddenly on Feb. 3, 2011. Born in Bassano, Alberta, Canada, Feb. 23, 1924, she moved with her family to Three Rivers, Michigan when she was ten months old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy in 2007. Their family includes four children, daughters Leona Falk, Dowagiac, Michigan, Eva Hoekstra, Decatur, Michigan, Angela Morton, Veedersberg, Indiana, and son, Frank Pierce in Panama City, Florida. Son, Roy Junior, died in infancy. Roy and Ruth have fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.Ruth, daughter of Edmund Harold and Nellie May (Ash) Smallcombe, leaves behind two sisters residing in Three Rivers, Michigan, Mary Raifsnider, and Elva Palmer.
