CHASE, EVELYN M. - The death of Mrs. Evelyn M. Chase, widow of Charles W. Chase, occurred at the Turnbull Home on Monday, May 31, 2004. Mrs. Chase was born in Petit Rocher, a daughter of the late Pierre and Anne Marie (Doucet) Godin, and had resided in Saint John since 1933. She had been employed at M.R.A.'s and Scovil Bros. She was a member of St. Joseph's Hospital Auxillary; the Catholic Women's League; the Ladies Auxillary of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 14; the Red Cross Society; the Sea Gulls Seniors Club; and the Liberal Party of Canada. She is survived by one brother, Antoine Godin (Geralda) of Petit Rocher; one sister, Agathe Roy of Ville Vanier, Quebec; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Friday morning at twelve o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. www.fitzpatrickfh.com
