LEE, Evelyn "Betty" Kathleen Passed away peacefuly at Moog and Friends Hospice House in Penticton, British Columbia June 21, 2006 aged 75. Betty was born and grew up in Chipman, Alberta and moved to Edmonton in her adolescence where she met Bill, her husband of 56 years, at the roller rink. She was an avid quilter and donated many quilts over the years to women's transition and different church groups. She had a passion for the Spanish language and enthusiastically attended the Spanish services at the Salvation Army Church in Penticton. Betty was predeceased recently by her husband Bill, May 12, 2006; brothers Bradley and Lawrence (Tuffy) Calvert; and one grandchild, Denny who died at age 16 from complications of diabetes. She is survived by sons, Ric and Gary (Debbie); daughters, Bonnie and Marcy (Gord); grandchildren, Jess, Tera, Scott, Jack and Rachel; one great-grandchild, Braeden; brother, Barry Calvert; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2006, 1:00 p.m. at the Salvation Army Church (2469 S. Main St., Penticton, BC). Cremation.
