Evelyn Hawie LaCroix, 94, died July 19, 2012, at Palm City Nursing and Rehab Center in Palm City. She was born in Bridgeport, Conn., and lived in Stuart since 1976, coming from Connecticut. She volunteered for hospice. Survivors include her sons, Thomas Lacroix of Jensen Beach, Andrew LaCroix of Okeechobee and Jeffrey LaCroix of Wilmington, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
