Evelyn L. Ellison Florida/Indiana Evelyn L. Ellison of Zephyrhills, FL, formerly of Hammond, IN, passed away August 29, 2007. She is survived by four children: Kelly Wayne (Shawna) Ellison of Louis Center, OH, Debra (Joe) Marlow of Merrillville, IN, Michael Reynolds of Griffith, IN and Rebekah Cool of Louis Center, OH; adopted daughter Joyce Cole; eight grandchildren: Michelle, Jonathon, Ryan, Joshua, Matthew, Shaina, Taylor and Addison; one great-granddaughter, Haley; one brother, William (Betty) Bennett; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles; and parents: Russell and Ona Bennett. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Virgil Huber Funeral Home, 7051 Kennedy Ave., Hammond (Hessville), IN with Rev. Robert Parnell officiating. Burial Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Evelyn was a life member of the Women of Moose Chapter #1682, also a member of the Chancey Road Christian Church in Zephyrhills, FL. She was retired from the Hammond Police Department crossing guards. Evelyn was a loving mom, grandmother and great-grandmother.
