Evelyn Frances Bagley Davis, 82, Palmetto, diedMay 20, 2002. She was born May 30, 1919, in Boston and came to Palmetto in 1946 from Arcadia. She was an English teacher at Palmetto High School from the late 1940s, until she retired in 1954. She returned to work as a librarian at Walker Junior High School, from 1958 to 1975. She attended six years of college, and received her bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt College. Shereceived her master's degree from Florida State College for Women. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Shultz of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother,Russell E. Bagley of Bradenton; and three grandchildren. There are no services planned.
