Evelyn Elizabeth Edwards, born in 1918, daughter of Charles and Edna, died. Please consult the obituary here:
EDWARDS, Evelyn Elizabeth On May 15, 2015, Evelyn Elizabeth Edwards died peacefully at Craigdarroch Care Home where she received loving care. She was born May 12, 1918 in Ottawa, Ontario, to Charles and Edna Edwards. Elizabeth was a librarian who worked in many communities across Canada. She was passionate about dogs, music and travel. Her adventures, sometimes with close friends or relatives, took her all over the world and resulted in friendships as far away as Australia, that lasted a lifetime. Elizabeth was a long-standing member of First Metropolitan United Church in Victoria as well as New Horizons in James Bay. She enjoyed reading (until her eyesight failed), attending operas, symphony concerts and plays. Elizabeth was generous, supporting a multitude of charities and hosting her many cousins and friends whenever they were visiting Victoria. She spent many years caring for her beloved father as her dear mother had died when Elizabeth was 16 years old. Elizabeth cared greatly for her extended family and served as the one who wound a thread around them, holding them together. There will be a memorial service on June 6, at 2:00 at the First Memorial Funeral Home in Saanich, 4725 Falaise Drive. We respectively request that in lieu of flowers donations be given to the Cancer Research Society, #305 - 200 Isabella St Ottawa. K1S 1V7
