Evelyn Coughlin of Westminster; 83 WESTMINSTER Evelyn M. (Cardinal) Coughlin, 83 of Meetinghouse Road, died February 2, 2009 at Leominster Hospital after an illness. She leaves her husband of 60 years, John A. Coughlin, one daughter and her husband Sharon and Philip Kearns Jr. two grandsons Brendan C. Kearns and Matthew P. Kearns all of Westminster. Evelyn was born in Worcester on February 19, 1925 a daughter of the late Robert and Josephine Cardinal. She was a graduate of Everett High School. Evelyn was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Church , Her greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered for being a caring, patient, loving wife, mother and grandmother, who took an interest in everything her grandchildren did. Evelyn will be missed dearly by her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and Sunday rides with her husband. You could always find her reading in her favorite chair. She had a devotion to Saint Anne, Saint Jude and Saint Francis of Assisi, and watched mass everyday. COUGHLIN A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 6, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church Street, Westminster, MA 01473. Burial will follow in the Woodside Cemetery, 9 Narrows Road, Westminster, MA 01473. Calling hours will be private. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn's name to the St. Edward the Confessor Church Building Fund, 10 Church Street, Westminster, MA 01473.
