Evelyn B. JohnsonHartselleFuneral for Evelyn B. Johnson, 79, of Hartselle will be Friday, August 31, 2012, at 3:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Hines officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Methodist Church Cemetery in Cullman County. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Johnson, who died Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at Summerford Nursing Home, was born January 24, 1933, in Colbert County to Jim Vandiver and Nellie Berryhill Vandiver. She was a member of Hartselle Church of Christ and a member of the Senior Center. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. Her husband, Lonzo Johnson, preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Lavon "Bama" Johnson of Hartselle; two daughters, Karren Riedberger of Hartselle and Becky Dudley (Donnie) of Somerville; eight grandchildren, Danielle Johnson, Gavin Sapp,Brad McReath (Samantha), Whitney Brewer, Rylee Princess, Drew Hollaway (Stephanie), Taylor Landers and Jaycee Collins; and five great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Scott Riedberger, Trey Summerford, Drew Holloway, Drew Prater, Kevin Galloway and Lynn Blackwood.
