Born in Lumber City, GA, she was a daughter of the late Luther Perry and Victoria Rebecca Brannon Kay. Mrs. Watson was a retired textile employee and a member of Clemson Church of God. Surviving are son, Roy T. (Betty) James of West Union, SC; daughter, Maudine Eva James Tyre of Piedmont; step-son, Corbin Watson of Salem; sister, Eunice Gambrell of Central; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Charlie J. James and her second husband, Marvin T. Watson; 2 brothers, Leroy and Jack Kay; and 1 sister, Margaret Kay. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Monday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Sunday at the funeral home. The family will be at their respective homes. Condolences may be expressed at the funeral home.
