Obituary of Eva-Odell Carter


Funeral for Eva Odell Carter, 72, of Decatur will be Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Stanford and the Rev. Charlie Cain officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Mrs. Carter died Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Sept. 21, 1931, in Morgan County to Raymond Draper and Alma Hardy Draper. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Carter; two brothers, Earl Draper and Raymond Draper; and one sister, Dorothy Dializ. Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Tate of Huntsville and Kathy Tindell of Priceville; two brothers, Charles Draper of Boaz and William H. Draper of Somerville; one sister, Pauline Echols of Somerville; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Charles Tindell, Michael Beckham, Tim Cook, John Cook, Daniel Watkins and Robert Johnson.
