Eva Lillian Garvin Davis - GUYTON - Eva Lillian Garvin Davis, 77, died Monday, May 25, 2009 at her residence. The Effingham County native was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church and retired from Candler Hospital in 1993 as a Nursing Assistant. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Charles Garvin and Delta Powell Garvin; husband of 27 years, Sylvester Everette Davis; sisters, Evelyn Dasher and Elizabeth Polin; brothers, Hilton Garvin and Tommie Garvin. Survivors include her daughters, Loraine Claxton (Thomas), Mary Davis, Virginia Best (Johnnie), Linda Alexander (Jefferson); son, Vernon Davis (JoAnn); brother, Willie Garvin (Nancy); 7 grandchildren, Everette, Jeffery, Hope, Tommie, John Douglas, Benjamin, and Jefferson; sister-in-law, Henrietta Garvin; brother-in-law, Carl J. Dasher; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services were held on Monday, May 25, 2009, at 4:00 P.M. at Sand Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
