BROWN, EVA LEE, 79, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Hurstbourne Care Center. She was a native of Laurel, MS, and a member of Greater Salem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by Mattie Thigpen, Cornelious Newton, Alphonso Martin, Joyce Overstreet Newton and Mary Dubose. She is survived by her daughters, Fannie Brown, Mae Newton and Tamar Smith; sons, George Brown Sr., Anthony, Sylvester and Kenneth Newton; 11 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a brother, Willie Brown Jr. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at her church, 1009 W. Chestnut, with burial in Green Meadows; Visitation: 6-9 p.m. Sunday at G.C. Williams.
