-><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Green, Eva L.Eva L. Green, age 97, of Painted Post, NY passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Absolut Care of Three Rivers, Painted Post. Eva was born on December 8, 1917 in Elmer, PA. She was the daughter of the late Carl J. and Charlotte (Keeney) Lane. She attended elementary school in Westfield, PA and was a graduate of Painted Post High School, Class of 1935. Eva married Clayton F. Green on August 10, 1935 in Painted Post, NY. He predeceased her on June 29, 2002. Eva spent her years as a homemaker, caring for her six children. She was a Last Charter Member of Victory Highway Wesleyan Church and former member and deaconess of the Horseheads Baptist Church. Eva was an avid crossword puzzle fan and enjoyed making handmade quilts for family and friends. She is survived by two sons, C. Harold (Ruth) Green of Springfield, IL, Kenneth (Vandy) Green of Addison, NY; three daughters, Phyllis (Ed) Crook of Corning, NY, Sylvia (Kenneth) Jimerson of Dunnville, KY, Carol (Daniel) Davidson of Lancing, TN; daughter-in-law, Nancy Green of Horseheads, NY; brother-in-law, Charles Green of Painted Post, NY; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Eva was predeceased by son, Charles Green; brother, Clair Lane; sister, Reva Bolton; and grandsons, Jonathan Green and John Tucker. Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, NY. A funeral and committal service will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m., Reverends Edwin Roloson, Theodore Brennan and Donald Guiles officiating. Special music will be sung by Pastor Vaughn Vanskiver. Burial will take place in the family plot at Goodsell cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Eva's name may be sent to the Brazil Gospel Mission, 125 W.
